• The special education paraprofessional is responsible in assisting teacher(s) to meet the needs of the students
• The special education paraprofessional will perform the duties and assignments in the resource room, regular/inclusion room or self-contained classroom as assigned by supervising teacher(s) and/or Supervisor
• Assist teacher(s) in planning, developing, and monitoring of instructional lessons and activities and in preparation of supplies and materials needed for lessons.
• Assist students with special needs in completion of special projects.
• Monitor students’ behavior at all times in the classroom, playground, cafeteria, bus, and other jurisdictions in campus.
• Supervise the students during breakfast, lunch, special subjects and while they are on school grounds, field trips, and other school activities.
• Maintain files and records for teacher(s).
• Prepare and submit attendance record and student service logs.
• Perform clerical functions as needed (such as: able to use a computer, school communication system, etc)
• Perform health aid and self-care needs as required for individual student (such as: changing diaper, feeding, toilet training, lifting, positioning, and other related duties).
• Assist individual student with mobility within school campus.
• Perform bus monitor as needed, to supervise student with special needs being transported to and from school.
• The paraprofessional will attend Professional Development and other trainings required by the school.
• The paraprofessional is responsible in maintaining and updating the required clearances (finger prints, RAP sheets etc.) and Arizona Department of Education regulations for Highly Qualified Paraprofessionals.
• The paraprofessional will abide by the Employee Handbook approved by the Cibecue Community School Board Inc.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Reports to:
Supervising Special Education Teacher
Special Education Coordinator
HS diploma or equivalent
Related experience in the field, preferred
Upon hiring, must pass PRAXIS Paraprofessional test to become Highly Qualified Paraprofessional

The applicant(s) must be able to pass both state and federal fingerprint clearance as well as provide a police report (RAP sheet) for the last five years from the place of residence.
If an applicant is not a US citizen or a US permanent resident, the applicant should submit a proof of work authorization or legal status to work in the US.
Salary will be based on education and experience
